Sampson Kusi-Appiah

Sampson is a co-founder, the CEO and lead Partner of KKGO, with over 30 years’ experience working for multinationals and foreign companies operating in Africa (Ghana). He has ultimate responsibility for the strategic direction of the firm and also serves as a lead for the firm’s general business advisory services.
Throughout his career, Sampson has provided leadership and services in the areas of Accounting & Finance, Human Resource, Information Technology, Tax and Governance to companies while in business, and provided assurance and consulting services to clients in practice. The companies he has served include a Fortune 500 company and have worked closely with boards and executive management to resolve complex business issues.
At the operational level, he has implemented complex financial and accounting systems, designed financial reporting and accounting policies and procedures, and assisted clients to comply with laws and regulations. He therefore brings rich experience and perspectives to clients’ business.
Sampson has extensive industry experience in Oil & Gas and Gold Mining. In practice, he has worked with clients in various industries including telecommunications, agri-business, government, non-governmental, textiles, fintech and others. He has consulted with clients on a variety of advisory, accounting and operational issues, including valuation, setup, due diligence, corporate governance, balance sheet audits and others. He is focused on meeting clients’ desired outcomes by recommending industry best practice that drives sustainable and resilient growth.
His recent industry engagement was with Kosmos Energy (Ghana), a listed US Oil & Gas company with assets in frontier basin in Africa and North America, where he served as director for finance and administration with oversight for areas including IT, Procurement and General Administration.
Sampson has a passion for training and developing of young professionals through mentorship, insight and knowledge sharing. He currently champion’s the firms learning and development unit.
